ATTENTION HOMEOWNERS

Many of us have decided to renovate our homes or replace furniture and appliances during the covid pandemic. With this in mind, we must be responsible in the collection and/or disposal. Here are the numbers and website to contact for pick up or drop off any discarded materials.

DO NOT DUMP IN OUR GARBAGE BINS

We always suggest recycling your bulky items through charitable organizations, thrift stores, and exchange apps/groups. However, if you are unable to do so, LA Sanitation & Environment (LASAN) will pick up your large/bulky household items such as mattresses, couches, doors, carpet, toilets, electrical waste and other furniture and items from residents serviced by LASAN.

To remove these bulky items from your curbside, please call the LASAN Customer Care Center at 1-800-773-2489 at least one day before your regular collection day. Bulky items are collected on the day of your regular refuse collection. Please have an itemized list of your items ready when calling or submitting your request.

MULTI-FAMILY BULKY ITEM COLLECTION

LA Sanitation (LASAN) will pick up your large/bulky household items such as mattresses, couches, doors, carpet, toilets, electrical waste, and other furniture and items from residents residing in multi-family residential buildings (of five or more units) such as apartments. To remove these bulky items from your curbside, please call the LASAN Customer Care Center at 1-800-773-2489 to schedule an appointment. Please provide an itemized list of the items to be collected when you call to schedule the appointment.

Electronic Waste (E-Waste) Drop-Off

E-Waste (Electronic Waste) is the popular and informal name for unwanted electronic products such as computers, TVs, VCRs, stereos, copiers, printers, fax machines and telephones.

The L.A. Sanitation has established a number of permanent collection sites throughout the City known as S.A.F.E. (Solvents/Automotive/Flammables/Electronics) CENTERS. These centers are open every weekend to provide a timely and convenient way to dispose of your household e-waste. Call the Customer Care Center at (800) 773-CITY (2489) for additional information.
